Blog Post Term 4- Happy Halloween!👻

Hi! I’m Amber, and this is my Blog Post for Term 4.

Last week we were learning about Mondrian Art. Mondrian art was made by a famous artist named Piet Mondrian. It’s where you only use three colours, as well as black lines. The lines can be long, short, thick or thin. I thought it was quite creative, here is mine:

Poetry

For poetry we have done two poems, one that’s called ‘I am’ Poem and one called ‘I Come From’ Poem. The ‘I am’ poem is basically about yourself, the ‘I Come From’ Poem is about memories of your past growing up.

We’ve been learning about perpendicular lines and parallel lines. Parallel lines are when two lines never meet, and perpendicular is when two lines meet at a right angle. We have been doing a lot of art lately, we’ve been painting circles on pieces of paper and it may sound pointless but it actually isn’t, it looks pretty cool and we spent a whole day doing that, btw/by the way it’s called Kandinsky art that was done by a famous artist called Wassily Kandinsky who sadly died years ago. I also have been doing some novel study on the book Small Steps By Louis Sachar, who is also the Author of the book Holes.  Art is my favourite thing to do as well as writing.

  • T- Cooking class yr 7&8 Tec

Cooking is very fun and it’s probably my favourite in Tec so far, it was also my sister Christie’s favourite too. It’s just so fun being able to actually cook and make the food instead of the experts doing everything for us.

  • M- Mathematics

Maths is one of my favourite subjects at school, actually almost every subject is my favourite especially art.

  • Art

Art is definitely my favourite and has been for years. I’ve been working on logo design on a hat that’s based on a pet shop that sells pet costumes and clothing. We also did street art on canva:

  • Writing

were doing Narrative writing and describing characters.
